WHAT LAPORTA SAID
After denying that he envies Madrid because of the likelihood of signing Mbappe, Laporta was asked if he has information about whether or not the transfer will go through. He replied to : "No, I have intuition. They have a problem there. You have to sell a player [if Mbappe arrives], right? Because they are not both going to play in the same place and they are also very marked players. And speaking of the figures there will be [in his salary], this distorts the locker room for sure. That's not a gift."

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Mbappe informed PSG that he will leave when his contract expires at the end of the season. Madrid have long been the frontrunners to sign him and it has been reported that his entourage have been looking for a new house for him around the Spanish capital. The 25-year-old is expected to receive a massive signing on fee as a bonus for joining in a free transfer.
